Wrong 3rd grandmother

I am frustrated about 2 things. People who add to the tree without doing research, create a duplicate and then request a merge. This creates a lot of excessive work.

Second, there should be a way to differentiate between descendants of second or third husbands/wives. I continuously receive notifications about Lyda (Lottie) Copeland being my 3rd grandmother on my mother’s side. SHE IS NOT! My 3rd grandmother is Ella Bland! Lyda Copeland is my 3rd grandfather’s 2nd wife. I wish there was a way to correct this!

    Hi Patricia,

You may wish to add the relationship type , if Lyda Copeland was also raised by the 2nd wife, click on the edit pencil next to Lyda, listed under couple, and click "Add Relationship Type" by the 2nd wife's name. You may wish to read the article below:

    Hope this helps.
