Adding Masonic records
I've done a quick search but I don't think this question has been asked or answered before. I am the secretary of a Masonic Lodge (English Constitution) and I routinely receive genealogy help requests from members of the public as my contact details are semi-public and my Lodge has a 175 year history. Once I have produced the information and passed it to the family, it goes back into the filing cabinet, which seems a shame. I recently found how to create a record for someone unrelated, so I can add information to FamilySearch, but it isn't obvious how to cite the Masonic records once the person record is created. Should I put it in as an affiliation? I'm happy to scan the relevant minute book or summons and add it as a source to support the addition for pre 1921 or deceased brethren. Any advice would be welcome.
