Records marked as " Dead"

I am indexing voter registration records for Southern Rhodesia. I have come across an occasional record with a large "X" marked across it and the word "Dead" or "Diseased" writing across it in large letters. Do I still index the information about the person who filled out the form?

    Per the project instructions:

"Mark images that do not contain the name of a claimant, or that do not contain voter information (including marriage, death, and birth records) in Step 1: Images as No, No Extractable Data."

As long as it is contains voter information, you should still index it.

Yes, you will find many marked deceased, but they are voter records so should be indexed.

many of these people were born in the 1800,s.

    The records are fascinating!!

    have fun
