How can I open the birth or death boxes to post information please?

I have just added Eleanor Chorley (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/MV7P-S2Q) to the family tree but did not know her death details when I started. I now know that her married name was Thorp and that she died on the 29th of March 1902 at Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

My problem is that I just can't open the box that lets me add those details (I presume that it would be headed 'Death')

In desperation I have added her death as a 'source' but this is most unsatisfactory since that source neither appears on the subjects main details (Eleanor Chorley 1813–Deceased • MV7P-S2Q) nor in her time line.

If anyone knows the answer to my problem would they please be kind enough to correct this record for me and let me know how it should be done.

Thank you for using the Community and posting your question here. First go to the question mark with the circle around it in the top right corner of the page.

Then select "help center." Then type in key words "adding vital information." There will be several articles, but this is the one you should select: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-change-vital-information-in-family-tree

The snip included with this message shows at the tip of the arrow the location of the word Edit. Clicking here should allow you to then edit the dates and places of birth and death. If you still are unable to accomplish these processes, you may need to delete the cookies from FamilySearch by using the information within this link: https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-do-i-delete-all-of-the-cookies-and-temporary-files-stored-by-my-internet-browser

I put the information for Eleanor Chorley in her record in FamilySearch tree as you requested.

To add or change personal information on a person, to the right of each heading, you will see Edit in blue, click on edit and it will open the box, so you can edit the information.
