Is this my next step? I don't know what happened to the parents.

I do not know what happened to the George and Mary Brooke who were sealed to their five children; therefore, I can not attach the children to them. The way I see it I have two options. I can create two new records for them or I can leave them attached to the parents they are attached to at this time. Is that my decision to make? If so, I will leave them where they are. Here is one screenshot of George Brooke, Mary Bentley, and a couple of their 23 children.

I don't know why my attachments can not be opened or viewed. I scanned and attached two pages to a message I sent to this group on 19 September of this year. I received a partial answer and was told the message was being forwarded to the group who handled that situation. No one said they couldn't open or see the attachments. I am only attaching one screen shot to see if it can be opened. Please let me know one way or the other. It is a png file which is an accepted file type.

Since we can not see your screenshot, we will need more information. What is the ID for the people you are working with. When we did a search, there are dozens of George Brook's married to Mary. More than likely, the ones you can not find were merged with one of the others.

If you have the ID for your person, you can still look at that person and see whom they were merged with.

If you have found one that may be your family, you can see the latest changes made to that person. The link above is to an article about how to see the changes and how to restore merges that are incorrect. You can see the deleted person as well by following the steps. Hope this helps.

I have reviewed the history of both George Brooke KCQL-KB6 and Mary Bentley LCQ6-568. Those are the parents the children are attached to in the familytree at this time. George Brooke does not seem to be the same person as the father on my grandmother’s family group sheets, but Mary Bentley could be the same Mrs. Mary Brooke. Their temple ordinances do not match those on my grandmother’s family group sheet. The children named William KCJ5-564, John KZJ6-PPZ born in 1807, Lydia L62K-QND, Sarah Ann K8JY-NVH, and Joseph KZX2-MXL born in 1831 have matching temple ordinances to those on my grandmother’s family group sheets.
