Requesting Ordinances

Please can someone help ?

I have an ancestor born 1905 who needs all temple ordinances.

I have tried to request the ordinances, but it shows me a notice saying that I need permission because the person was born within the last 110 years....but my ancestor was born in 1905 which is 116 years ago.

How do I get this issue resolved with there now being no operative telphone number for England, UK ?

Please accept my sincere thanks in advance, for any help that can resolve this issue.

    Hi @Beverley Milner

    If you look at the husband, he has only a marriage event but no birth date

    The Sealing to Spouse is still showing 'needs permission' because there is no birth date. The record just shows deceased so the system can't assume he was born more that 110 years ago.

    Hello Beverly,

    If we had the name and the ID number of this ancestor, born 1905, we could look it up and see what the problem is. Most likely, you can request all of the individual ordinances for this person, but perhaps this ancestor has a marriage to another person who is not as old, and that SS ordinance needs permission. Go to the person page for this ancestor, and look at the ordinances there.

    @Beverley Milner

    There are a few different issues which may be causing the message you see. We hope this article will assist you.

    Family Tree says I need permission to reserve ordinances. The 110-year policy does not apply. https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/family-tree-says-i-need-permission-to-reserve-ordinances-the-110-year-policy-does-not-apply

    Unfortunately this suggestion did not produce any favourable results. I have checked all data input, all sources for both the target person and the parents of the target - all appear fine with no problems. I now find myself asking: How do I contact FS in order to get this problem resolved? If you are able to help me further in finding a solution I would be very grateful. I serve as a ward TFHC and can see no solution thus far. Kind regards Sis B Milner

    Hello Sister Milner,

    You still did not give us the name and the ID of the ancestor, born 1905. If we had that, we could look at this ancestor in Family Tree, get to the Person Page, and see what the problem might be.
