Canada, Ontario—Tax Assessment Records, 1834–1899 [Part C] [M3ZG-WSB. City/Township?

At the top of the form, ship is crossed out on township. The name given is Niagara Western Ward. Instructions for both city and township say do not include wards. Does this mean I don't index the document or just show blank in these two fields and index everything else?

Thanks

I would index Niagara since only the "ship" part of township is crossed out.

Even when you come across something where you don't have a town or township you DO index everything else. The researcher will only be able to find the image if you index the names.

Thanks. That was what I thought should be done but the not doing a ward threw me.
