Tax Record Supposed To Indicate M or F. Every Person is MF?
I'm relatively new to indexing. Currently, I'm looking at a Canadian tax record from 1893. There is a column that is supposed to indicate the sex of every person recorded (in the rows), but every box in the column says "MF", therefore not specifying whether the person was M or F. There are no other identifying factors for any of them that I saw at first glance (like no Mrs. or Mr. or brother/sister, son/daughter of etc.) so should I just mark the sex as blank? Thank you in advance.

I'm working on this project. If you look at the document column heading, MF stands for Manhood Franchise. From what I've read that means, they're elligible to vote in Municiple and Federal elections. I mark the sex on these <Blank> unless, as you said, there's a qualifying term for the sex. (F means Freeholder, not Female)

Please share your batch copying and pasting the batch link or batch code.
When your batch is open, click Help, in the upper left just above the toolbar.
On the drop-down menu, click Share Batch. You'll see those 2 options.

When you click on the Field Help (the purple circle with a white question mark that appears when you click in the box to be filled in), it says
"Select Male or Female from the drop-down list.
Index the sex only if it was specifically recorded or you can tell what it was from relationship terms, such as "son" or "daughter," titles or terms, or other evidence in the language.
Do not assume the sex of a person based on given names.
If the sex was not recorded or was written as a variation of the word "unknown," press Ctrl+B to mark this field blank."
If you can not determine what the sex is, then yes, mark the field blank.
Thank you for your time and effort indexing.

I've noticed on these that the column is Freeholder, Householder or Tenant, and sometimes Farmer's Son. I had a batch marked F for freeholder, but, the indexer incorrectly marked the gender as F for every gentleman on the record. I have also seen a batch with MH which might have meant Male Householder. Since there were no FH (Female Householders), I didn't want to assume the M was male since it isn't a gender column.
I'd like to see the batch to give an accurate answer.

It sounds like the other form is what's in question here. See Column 4. https://www.familysearch.org/indexing/batch/19ade09b-ca72-480f-a93f-81092ba464ec
