How do I request ordinances for a distant cousin?

Hi Mark
For your distant cousin, you would need to request permission from a close family member - such as a child.
Please refer to the attached Knowledge Article:

The request button is greyed out. It says needs more information. He was killed at pearl harbor was not married and had no children. I have done the temple work for his parents.

Read the above article. It should give you some clarification on why ordinances need more information. If you still require additional assistance, please provide your ancestor's PID number so we can continue to assist you.

@MarkVosti , yes, provide the PID on deceased individuals. The Person ID or Identification number (PID) is 7 digits that looks like XXXX-XXX. You will find you will get better help results if you do. However Mark you will still need permission because August was born within the last 110 yrs.

@DebDT , @MarkVosti 's PID he provided does not seem to have an obvious error per the help article, so he likely needs your further assistance.
Mark, after the "This person's ordinance status is not available. Please contact FamilySearch Support if you are a relative and need more information." message is cleared you will still need permission because August was born within the last 110 years.

Chas,
Thank you for looking into this. I understand. It's interesting because I had been granted permission then COVID closed the temples and I couldn't do the ordinances, then they expired. Also, I found that he had a sister but she passed away in 1989. I don't know any other relatives.
