How can my wife connect her account to my tree?

My wife has an account with no tree information. Her ID is different than her ID on my tree. She would like her tree to be my tree. We tried to merge the two IDs but it wouldn't let us. My ID is LY28-DJV, her ID on my tree is LYPJ-JN6, her ID on her account is G97S-TPR.

You need to go ahead and add the living people and create a person. Once you get back to people who are deceased it will connect. I added my parents to to myself on my husband's tree then used the ID numbers to add their parents. This connected my tree to his account. I am not sure it that is the same question you are asking but it worked for us to see both sides on each other's accounts.

We understand that you would like to merge the living persons in your account with those living persons in your wife's account. For privacy reasons, the living people you add will only be seen by you and same for your wife.

You can build her tree on your account by adding in her living ancestors and connecting them to the deceased ones. She will have to do the same process in her own account. Once you both get to her deceased ancestors, their PIDs should be the same for both of you.
