Hints on the App and Laptop
There are hints/tasks showing on my Mobile app which are not showing on my laptop version of Family History. Also there are hints/tasks on both the App and laptop version which I am unable to remove and come straight back when I do.

Yes, isn't that nice? I am not being facetious. For me it is a good thing; the web and mobile app developer teams are independent. When one team comes up with something really good, the other team implements it.

This is a sure sign that at least one person ID (PID) in the family is not "squeaky clean". Look closely at the attached sources to see if any are linked to the wrong family. Also look at the Residence data and other details on the PIDs. If there are residual details that do not belong, that can confuse FT hints system.
If you like to share a PID with this problem, readers here can try to spot the problem.0
I am commenting here on the hints/tasks that are 'returning' because I have experienced the exact same issue. The tough thing to determine is whether there are multiple indexes returning references to the same record OR if these are actually duplicate record hints. In my case most were duplicate indexes. I tried to just 'accept' them all - but sometimes it seems like they do just keep returning. In my case it is for marriage event/records in North Carolina.
I am not sure why mobile would be different - but would suspect if you went on Mobile to Settings and Clear Cache and redownload - maybe that would align them? (just a thought but I don't know)0
When there is a huge number of hints, say a family with many children and sometimes also duplicate birth, christening, marriage and death records for each child, the number of hints can be overwhelming. The mobile app shows them all at once. The web interface trickles them, which can be maddening and make it seem like they just keep coming back.
But when a specific hint just won't go away, that's when extra "PID hygiene" is needed.
Sometimes the well-intentioned advice is given to just dismiss the hint, but that just hides the problem and often more problems crop up later. So that leads me to another tip: check to see if the PIDs have dismissed hints that should not have been dismissed, and work them.0
