@Linda Wilshire, it looks like you can view this item; however, you will need to do so at a Family History Center or an Affiliate Library. You can find a Family History Center or Affiliate Library by clicking HERE and entering your location (generally a zip code will suffice) and clicking Search. You will see Family History Centers as Green circles and Affiliate Libraries as Red Circles. If needed, use the "+" or "-" to zoom in or out.
Although much of the above collection, i.e., Ohio, County Death Records, 1840-2001, can be easily viewed from your home; in the case of Sarah Austin, who died in 1893, we find her death record on Microfilm Number 373048 as indicated above (under Document Information).
When we search for this microfilm in the Catalog, we find it in the Catalog page for Birth and death records, 1867-1908 [Butler County, Ohio]. At the bottom of the page, in the section titled, Film/Digital Notes, you will see the Microfilm Number associated with Death records v. 1-4 1867-1908. Clicking on the icon that appears as a camera with a key above it gives us this messaged:
"To view these images do one of the following
- Access the site at a family history center.
- Access the site at a FamilySearch affiliate library."
When you access the death record, as indicated above, you may be able to print a copy of the item and can attach it as a source to the Family Tree record for Sarah Austin if you desire to do so.
I hope that this answers your question and helps you understand how to view the death record for Sarah Austin.
