When I submit a City and Business Directory Batch, the program subtracts some of the entries.

I've noticed that when I push submit of a City and Business Directory batch, the total number of entries goes down. Sometimes it is as much as 30 less. What is the program doing? Are they duplicate names that it automatically deletes?

Yes, this is what the program does. It deletes duplicate entries that are in sequence. Even though we are not supposed to index duplicate names, it will not delete those that might have a line or two between them.

For instance, in this sequence, the second John Smith will be deleted. The 5th John Smith will not be deleted, even though it should not have been indexed.

Thanks Melissa! I wondered if that was what was happening. The instructions do say clearly only to type a name one time. I'm glad the program catches what I missed.
