I just made four new requests for ordinances and would like to add information to the cases. Where do I find my cases?

    Hello @IngrahamJoanC,

The link to My Cases has been discontinued - so sorry. I know this has been a valuable asset for many people. However, there are other things we can do.

You did not mention what type of requests you made. Are you working with the 110-year requests and feel you have more information to give? I will proceed on this assumption. If this is not correct, please let us know.

You will receive an email about your request no matter what the decision is. FamilySearch Support does all they can to reply in a timely manner. Be sure to check your junk mail folder when you look for this email.

    • FamilySearch approves your request. The system adds the family name automatically to your family name list. From there, you can print the family name card. If the name does not appear on your family name list, reply to the approval email you received.
    • Your request requires further information. Please respond with the information.
    • FamilySearch declines your request. You cannot repeat the request process. Instead, you can reply to the email you received.

Request ordinances for a person born in the last 110 years • FamilySearch

Let us know if you still need help.

    Best Wishes!

So I am now prohibited from looking at my CASES using a 'link'

I need to find valuable information that had been answered and stored in my Cases

If there is no 'link' how can I see my cases?

    @William George Dunbar

    William

    I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...

[ And, I happen to be a Member of the Church ... ]

    Just in passing ...

    Sorry ...

Short Answers: 'Yes'; and, you CANNOT ...

    FYI

Early LAST Year (2021), the 'Third Party', Software Platform, on which, the 'FamilySearch' "Support" Case (Management) System worked, is NOW, for whatever reason, NO LONGER available to 'FamilySearch'.

And, it happened, almost, 'All of a Sudden' ...

NO time, to really PLAN, for a 'Successor' ...

"My Cases" [ie. Our OWN (Personal) "Support" Cases] ... can NO LONGER be, accessed; seen; and/or, viewed.

For 'all intents and purposes' ... they have GONE.

And, it appears, they may NOT be 'resurrected'.

Perhaps, 'FamilySearch', MAY have been able to "Download", the OLD 'FamilySearch' "Support" Cases; BEFORE, the FINAL demise, into some Format, that can be accessed/interrogated, by them; as, at least, something to look through/at; as, a "Backup" - you never know.

    Hopefully ...

IF, 'FamilySearch' does have some form of a "Backup"; THEN, hopefully, 'FamilySearch' may reconsider; and, "My Cases" [ie. Our OWN (Personal) "Support" Cases] MAY, somehow, be 'resurrected', in some form or other.

We can but live in hope ...

As, MANY; Many; many, of us STILL had ACTIVE "Support" Cases; and/or, often, REOPENED, "Support" Cases that have NOT been Finalized.

    As an side ...

IF, like me, you still have, your OLD "E-Mails", from 'FamilySearch' "Support", that is one way of ascertaining the details from OLD 'FamilySearch' "Support" Cases (and, Case Numbers), to reference - if needs be.

    And ...

Due, to the unfortunate recent 'Demise', of the 'FamilySearch' "Support" Case Management System, early LAST Year ( 2021); and, with NO immediate alternative (ie. "System"), the 'FamilySearch' "Support" (Personnel), were basically "Moved" 'holus-bolus' (ie. Included) into the MIX of, this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum

    Just my thoughts.

I know, that this certainly does not help/assist; but, I hope, that this may provide you with, some additional, insight; and, perspective.

ps: 'William', if I recall correctly, I think, we are related; and, we met (ie. with my Wife, in your, 'Branch', one Sunday, in 2016), when we were travelling the World.

Your memory is better than mine!

I will see if I can locate emails in my archive.

Have you noticed the use of 'alternate' name when on the FIND page. Alternate means 'occur in turn repeatedly.' eg an alternator dynamo in a motor car that charges the battery

It should be 'alternative' name - meaning 'another possibility or choice.'

    @IngrahamJoanC

You did not mention when you requested the ordinances. If you have requested the ordinances recently, here in Community, you may be able to find the information in the My Discussions, in blue, top right on the screen. Answers may be found under the envelope.

If the cases were forwarded, you may request the additional information be forwarded also.

    William

    Just in passing ,,,

I will send you a ("Private") 'Message'.

    Hm ...

It, is NOT just, the "Find" facility/function/feature ...

    image.png

    Also ...

    The "Other Information" Section ...

    image.png

I would humbly suggest, that this is the REASON ...

    image.png

    Whereas ...

You [ UK, Up North ... ] and I [ "Downunder" (Australia) ], use the "British" English ...

    Just my thoughts.
