I need the temple work moved from one Charles Bentley to another. KWNJ-SPC to G8D5-1DH

I have been trying to unmerge two men. The problem is that the temple work should be tied to the Charles Bentley born in Virginia, G8D5-1DH.but instead is tied to the Charles Bentley born in Missouri or Indiana KWNJ-XPC. Both men died and their spouses remarried.
Two Charles Bentley had conflicting sources. The Charles Bentley, KWNJ-XPC was born 1837 in Missouri, married to Mary Putham, in Missouri and their children Emma and Elba were also born in Missouri. The records of Emma and Elba report their father was born in Missouri. Charles Bentley KWNJ-XPC born in 1837 in Missouri, is close to the age of Mary Putham born in 1842.
That Charles Bentley KWNJ-XPC was mistaken for Charles Bentley G8D5-1DH born inn 1842 in Virginia. The difference of ages between the Charles Bentley KWNJ-XPC born 1836 in Missouri and and Emily Jane Carrol KWJ6-1HQ born in 1859 is an unlikely 23 years. Charles Bentley KWNJ-XPC husband of Mary Putham died in Missouri before Mary Putham remarried William George Hardin. Her children Emma Bentley and Elba Bentley are found in the Yellow Creek, Linn, Missouri 1870 Census with their new step father William G. Hardin.
The Charles Bentley G8D5-1DH who died in Provo in 1913 is named in Emily's obituary. Emily's children report their father was born in Virginia in their marriage licenses the 1900, 1910 census. I believe the temple work, and memories should be tied to this individual because he was a convert in Utah.
Thus there are two men named Charles Bentley one born 10 years before the other, in Missouri, and the other born born in Virginia.
Perhaps to have kept the correct temple work, I should have created the Charles Bentley 137 born in Missouri or Indiana (conflicting census) and moved his wife Mary.
I see there are many photos of the Utah individual attached in memories. Perhaps you can undo my mistake?
I have worked hard documenting these two families and their children, but cannot move all the children of the husband of Mary Putham sources over until they are separated.

Oh dear I didn't explanation this very well that there are two men. Two wives.
But thanks for taking it back to a blank canvas.
I can try again, but our problem is the Husband of Emily and all her children say was born in Virginia in 1846--The dates and children of the wife in Missouri Mary Elizabeth Putman 1841–1920 • L229-25N is the other husband who was born in Indiana.
I guess I could have merged the two men myself.
What is needed is to separate the two men. Any help?

We need to keep the histories and photos with the younger Charles from Virginia.
How do you separate the two men without the temple work being assigned to the wrong individual?
Thanks for your help. This could have upset some descendants. I'm grateful, but do need help separating two men so the husband of Emily isn't 20 years older, and her children's records aren't attached.
I tried creating a separate person and bringing Emily over. But too many sources are attached to both Wives and the children.
Thanks again for your help.

Here is an article from the Help Center that deals with correcting bad merges, that may be useful. Click the link below:
The easiest way to move spouses and children is by ID number. The links below will guide you.

The link below is about moving sources.
Wishing you success in your correcting efforts, they are appreciated.

The above suggestions do not deal with two problems. My problem is the man has the birthdate and place of a man born in Indiana, lived and died in Missouri, but was assigned the death date and an additional wife of the other man.. The Utah man's man's family have put many documents, pictures and stories of their grandfather. I cannot move those from the individual to whom they are attached. I could create duplicate memories and add them to the Utah man, but the temple work doesn't move.
Here are the two problems not addressed by your standard suggestions:
- The temple work is attached to one man but represents two men. When I create the two men, I cannot separate the templework for the one man sealed to two women.
- I cannot move memories that have been created by others. There are histories attached and documents. By creating two people, I still have to merge the individual into one of the two men.
I believe that requires more tools that the average person has at their disposal.
Perhaps you have been successful in reassigning temple work. I have not.
Lastly, I feel that temple work is not a public form issue. It is something FamilySearch should step up and resolve.
Thanks for your suggestions.

Hi M G,
Thank you for the clarification. For the pictures and stories you can remove the tag attaching it to the wrong individual , and tag it to the correct one. Bring up the photo in the viewer, look to the right of the name it is attached to, click on the little arrow, and detach it from the wrong individual, then click on the photo and attach it to the correct person. Use the article link below for more information.

For sources:
If you find a source attached to the wrong person, take the steps below to attach it to a different record.
Steps (website)
- Navigate to the Person page of the individual to whom the record is incorrectly attached. Click the Sources tab.
- Click the title of the source, then Review Attachments.
- On the source linker page, click Detach.
- On the same source linker page, click Not your Family? Find your Family.
- Enter the ID number of the correct person, or select the correct ID number in the list that populates.
- Review and attach.
Good luck moving memories and sources to the correct individual.

Also although I have option to attach a memory to someone else, the temple work doesn't move. How can I communicate with FamilySearch to bring the temple work to the correct individuals.

Marilyn,
We understand the ordinances for Charles Bentley, G8D5-1DH, are correct now in FamilySearch, as stated above by @Bryan54 on September 4th. The memories, and ordinance information are two different issues. Moving memories will not affect ordinance information.
If there are other individuals with ordinances you need checked, please give us the names and ID numbers, and we will forward them to another team for review.

So if I create a second individual that is the older man and family, then you will move the sealings attached to the the main person to the second older person?
Or as you recommended I create two new people, re-attach all their families members and then ask you to bring the temple records over? I believe the sealings the wife Mary were done with the older person's birthdate, but the younger man and wife Emily were done with his correct dates.
Hope I'm understanding this because including my proofs in separating two people is really a lot of work. It would be easier to just create one older man and wife and separate him from the younger wife and family.
