Hi @Kaye17 .
You have asked how to provide a SP ordinance for children whose temple work is not yet completed.
While it is best to complete temple work in the proper order, the system allows us to request specific ordinances such as a SP along with the other personal ordinances, and this ordinance can be completed when all other individual ordinances have been performed.
When a SP ordinance is done before the parents have received all of their ordinances including their SS ordinance, the child's SP ordinance is valid, however, it is not in effect until the work of the parent's has been completed.
Recently with the addition of the Ordinances Ready feature which is designed to provide a specific type of ordinances as you are preparing to attend the temple. many individuals are concerned that the SP that they do will not be valid when they discover the parents have not been sealed as a couple yet. This is not true. Please review the following knowledge article which is in our Help Center and is available to those with Member accounts which confirms that even ordinances completed out-of-order are valid. Remember, however, that they will not be in effect until the other ordinances are completed. https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/correct-order-of-temple-ordinances
We hope this information is helpful. Many temple policies are stated in the knowledge base that is available by using the Help Center. Click the Help icon, then Help Center.
