    Hello@JamesRobertson11,

Thanks for your question regarding how often FamilySearch synchs with Find a Grave. Here is the only information I could find:

"You can correct data errors from Find a Grave on the Find a Grave website. FamilySearch will receive the correction the next time Find a Grave sends an update.

The entire process usually takes between three and six months. Thank you for your interest and efforts in ensuring our records are accurate."

So, it seems to me that it would synch every three to six months.

    Hi James

Family Search does not sync with Family Search. It is an ancestry product and you will need to manually insert the information from Find a Grave into Family Search.

Let me ask the question a different way. If I run a Search in Records and type a name in Search Historical Records, I get a variety of Results, which often include results from Find A Grave. And if I filter by Collections, Find A Grave Index is one of the choices. So how are those Records / that Collection populated? For example, one Find A Grave Record is cited this way:

    "Find A Grave Index," database, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:QV2W-C8R8 : 4 June 2020), Reese, 1996; Burial, , ; citing record ID , Find a Grave, http://www.findagrave.com.

This looks to me as though there are automated (not manual) links between the Find A Grave database and the FamilySearch database.

Are you are wanting to access that Find a grave record, or attach it as a source to a record in Family Search?

If is is attaching a source, you can open our Help center ( circle with ?) and use search term Outside source. It will pull up this article

Not exactly. What I am wondering is this: I recently added an aunt and uncle to Find A Grave, and I'm wondering when those new records will be added to the Find A Grave Index on FamilySearch Records.

Are the mods purposely being obtuse? The question is clear enough: how often is the Find A Grave index on FS updated/refreshed/synced with FG? (I don't know the answer, unfortunately.)

Thanks for understanding the question. I thought the community might know, but maybe I should be asking tech support.

Three to six months sounds like a reasonable answer - thank you. Also helpful to know that Find A Grave drives the update process.
