How do I merge a person's record as a female but is a male - the ordinances have been completed?
I came across a duplicate who is in Family Tree as a female and the ordinances have been completed. The record in error is for Voca Larue "Kay" Cox 29 December 1906 – 13 August 1990 • GM9Y-3HM. The only source attached to the record is a census record that indicates the person is a male.
The correct record with multiple sources is: Voca LaRue Cox 29 December 1906 – 13 August 1990 • G8D9-M66
Please help me merge the records.
Thanks,
Greg Wood -

The first thing you need to do is Edit the sex for Voca Larue "Kay" Cox 29 December 1906 – 13 August 1990 • GM9Y-3HM.
Click on Edit to the right of Sex and then click on Male. Please add a reason statement and then click Save.
Now you can merge the two ID's. The temple work will be deleted and will need to be done for the correct sex.
Here is a link to an article about merging duplicates.

Greg,
There are several steps that need to be completed.
We would encourage you to change the sex of the duplicate record first.
Next,
We wish you much success with the two step process. if the ordinances do not populate please reply with another comment.

Another concern you may want to address after changing the sex of this child and ensuring that the parents, Charles Nathaniel Bell "CB" Cox, ID# L7NV-SBM and Edna Adline Joslin, ID#LH1K-3G4, are linked together.
It also appears that once that is corrected, two children need to be merged, Voca Larue Cox and Vola Cox, ID# G4G9-M4Y. Vola show up in the United States Census, 1920, and he is the appropriate age. It appears that this record was indexed incorrectly.
