Why do some comments just disappear after clicking on "Post Comment"?
For the second time in the last few days, my comments have disappeared after typing. Briefly (blink and you might miss it) a message appears saying, "Your comment will appear after it is approved", but nothing does come back.
After taking the effort to respond to a member's problem it is exasperating to see your comments vanish, for no apparent reason. Where do they go whilst being "approved"?

Good question.
I am so glad, to know that is was not just me.
I was beginning to think, that I was under surveillance.
Have been experiencing the same myself.
Especially, been experiencing when I go back to "Edit" a post.
Sometimes, I have found the LOST post in my "Drafts".
But, when I resurrect the draft, it still seems to do the same.
And, sometimes, I find if I "Duplicate" the 'Tab', my 'Comment' appears; as, if I was still working on it.
But, again when I keep going from where it ends, it still seems to do the same.
Does not seem to be any rhyme or reason.
[ Although, it happened a LOT during the x4 Hours of that Update/Release ... ]
One thought, that I considered is, that I had used an inappropriate, word; or, phrase.
But, that did not seem to be the case.
At one stage, I responded in a post; but, the original poster "Edited" the original post; so, I had to "Edit" my 'Comment', it worked at first; whereas, I noticed an error; then, got caught up in that 'loop'.
I eventually had to go back out; and, start again, lucky that I had a "Copy" of my 'Comment'.
Problem is you never know when it is going to strike.
I just wonder if it has to do with one's 'Local' SERVER for the Forum; as, my 'Local' SERVER has been very temperamental, of the last week or so.
Just some thoughts.

Yes, I believe it probably does relate to posts that have been edited - although, to be honest, this would apply to most of my comments! Could relate to clicking on "Save Comment" that exact second a "Draft" is being saved, I suppose.
That is happens so quickly after the (edited) post has been made suggests it has nothing to do with an individual "moderating" it - perhaps it's something like the computer programming that takes down images (here and in FT Memories) for a while: except the text here never does seem to reappear.
Hopefully this will be investigated.

I think it is a bug related to the edit process.
Back in April I wrote a topic "Vanishing post in Ideas/Records (Searching and Viewing)"

Another annoyance on this forum platform, which I don't experience on any other platform I currently use, or have ever used in the past.
