To get the most accurate answer It's always best to share your batch information. Go to Help>Share Batch to see how. But, from the General Indexing Guidelines from one of my batches, here is some general advice that applies if your Project Instructions do not contain contrary guidance. Your batch should have a similar section and you should check it out. I emphasized the bullet that might apply in your case.

Crossed-Out, Corrected, Canceled, or Void Information

    • When information was crossed out, corrected, canceled, or marked void, follow the instructions for “crossed out” that match the situation.
    • When information was crossed out and then replaced, type the new information in the appropriate fields.
    • When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and can be read, type the crossed-out information.
    • When information was crossed out, was not replaced, and cannot be read, mark the field as unreadable by pressing Ctrl+U, or on the indexing toolbar, click the icon from the horizontal toolbar that is depicted below.
