Ann Jack MacFarlane baptism date

My 2 GG Mother, Ann Jack MacFarlane 17 December 1826 – 22 March 1924  • KWVH-DNY was an early convert to the church. She is listed in Family Tree (FT) with a baptism date of 2001, but a confirmation date 11 Sep 1852. How can we get the 1852 baptism date for her listed in FT? Her spouse has his baptism date listed as 11 Sep 1852. They were both baptized on the same day, as converts.

Hello Bryan54. Thank you so much for repairing the baptism record for my 2 GG Mother, Ann Jack MacFarlane 17 December 1826 – 22 March 1924 • KWVH-DNY. You do great work, making our book containing the records of our dead, more worthy of all acceptation.  I could see from the Latest Changes for Ann, that you did not find another record in Family Tree (FT) for her with the updated baptism date. There was no merge done recently. You must have access to a separate data base of ordinances, and then have the ability to update ordinance data in FT without it adding to the Latest Changes. I have other ancestors with similar problems: baptism date after the confirmation date, or endowment date much later than the initiatory date, or no baptism date, but a listed confirmation date, or no endowment date, but a listed initiatory date. I was wondering if there were any project in the works that would correct all these types of records. If there was a program that would run against the FT data base, and compare these ordinance dates, and do a sanity check, and create a data base of potential changes, and then have a group of missionaries with access to that data base, and the ability to make the changes like you did for Ann, it would clean up lots more of the FT data base, without having to have patrons, such of myself, creating a discussion on each one.  Or should we continue to request these changes one by one?.

    Hello jlwestra

At this time, there is no automated process in place.  You should request updates one by one.

Hello Bryan54. About Ann Jack MacFarlane KWVH-DNY, you wrote: We were able to correct the B/C date for this record because when Ann received her endowment in 1862 she stated she was baptized 11 Sep 1852 and that date was recorded in the endowment record. There is a helpful article on locating early Church membership records:

Thank you for the link to early Church membership records. I had read this article before, and I re-read it, and could not see any links to online records for early endowments, such as the one in 1862 for Ann. I would like to access that record. Even if I could access that record, I don’t think I would have permissions to be able to copy the baptismal date from that record, and paste it into the Family Tree record for Ann, as you have done.  I have other ancestors with missing early baptism dates, and I would like to correct those also.
