Thanks for a great question!
We hope to be able to accept video in the future. We currently don’t have a reliable way to screen video files before they become visible.
In the meantime, please take advantage of the opportunity to save and share photos, stories, family records, and other heirloom documents.

Hello Bryan,
Thanks for sharing your suggestions on Community.
I would suggest that you fill out feedback on the FamilySearch site to give your ideas to our engineers. I think the concern is going through all the videos to make sure they are appropriate. This is more difficult than still shots, but it sounds like a wonderful idea. FamilySearch has changed a great deal over the past few years so it would be wonderful if your suggestion was applied. As you post your suggestion make sure you are positive and not critical. The fact that FamilySearch is the largest genealogical site may be the very reason that this may be difficult. It will take a lot of hours to review videos being posted.
Thanks again for using FamilySearch and for your suggestions.
