Ghost parents

The wife of my great grand uncle, Frances B Wosoba, ID# LZDD-W5J, DOB: 17 March 1875, DOD: 7 April 1959 has her sealing to parents available, which I reserved to keep it from possibly being repeated, but there is another set of parents that she has been sealed to but the names are not showing. (Ghost parents?) I would like to do the sealing if it needs to be done. Thank you!

Father: Mike Wosaba, ID# GMQ1-F9S

Mother: Anna Dusanck, ID# GMQB-G39

On the ordinance screen for an individual, the Sealing to Parents ordinance date occasionally appears without showing the names of the parents. The most common reason for this is that the set of parents in Family Tree does not match the set of parents associated with the ordinance.

You can also see this when Family Tree cannot display the parents associated with the ordinance because of privacy rights.

The Sealing to Parents date represents a valid temple ordinance for the child. If an additional Sealing to Parents ordinance shows without a completed date, keep in mind that Church policy allows you to seal a person to more than one set of parents.

If another completed Sealing to Parents ordinance date shows, this also represents a valid temple ordinance. If you have further questions about sealing ordinances, please see your ecclesiastical leader.

We see in Latest Changes on the right side of your screen that parents have been added and deleted. There have also been merges made that could have had another set of parents listed to whom she was sealed to and who have been removed as the parents. You can go ahead and seal Frances to her parents since you have reserved it. This way you can be sure she is sealed to the correct parents.

    Hello @alyscolleenmansfield1

The Sealing to Parent is to Michael Wosoba 974S-3Y2 and Anna Dusanek 974S-3YT.

As @ZNN has shown above, the relationship to these parents was removed.

The records for the parents Mike Wosaba GMQ1-F9S and Michael 974S-3Y2, and also Anna Dusanck GMQB-G39 and Anna 974S-3YT can be merged and then the Sealing to Parent will show correctly.

This knowledge article explains how to merge the records

When a stepchild is sealed to both biological parent and stepparent do both lines become ancestral lines?
