Transferring ordinances

My distant ancestory, Harriet Wilshire (KXVT-13H) has a duplicate, Harriet Wilshire(9JGN-3NK). The first Harriet(KXVT-13H)had all of her ordinances completed but was formerly listed under the wrong parents. Therefore, the sealing to parents is not shown on this person's tree. However, the duplicate (9JGN-3NK) was sealed to the parents. Rather than repeating the sealing to parents, I would like to have the sealing from9JGN-3NK added to the ordinances for KXVT-13H. Afterwards, I will delete the 9JGN-3NK duplicate.

    Hello @Nicole_Hunsaker

I recommend that you merge the two records for Harriet KXVT-13H and 9JGN-3NK.

The ordinances, including the Sealing to Parent will then display on the resultant record.

This article explains what happens to ordinances in a merge:-

    https://www.familysearch.org/help/helpcenter/article/how-does-merging-duplicates-in-family-tree-affect-ordinances

If the ordinances do not show correctly after a merge then please reach out in this forum.

    All the best.
