Pfaffikon ZH - 1684 - Marriage - Egg & Schnurrenberger - Hans Peter & Susanna
At the URL below is what I believe to be the marriage record for Hans Peter Egg and Susanna Schnurenberger who were married on 22 Jan 1684. However, the spelling of Hans Peters surname looks like it is spelled "Egk" which is the same spelling on a 1678 Pfaffikon census record. (That record lists his baptism date as 24 Oct 1652.) The spelling on that baptism record date in the Pfaffikon baptism records spells it "Egg". Besides the images of the marriage, I have attached those of the census and baptism records. Both the census and the baptism record indicate the Egg family lived in the hamlet of Hermatswil. My request is two fold: 1) are the two spellings the same surname, and 2) a translation of the marriage record would help me identify where Susanna is from. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

I would even read Erkh - but spellings were not really fixed at the time. The "modernised" spelling Egg is also confirmed by the transcription in the Ehedatenbank - which also has the info about Susanna's origin.
Hans Peter's mother is a Salome - can't really read her surname - but Ehedatenbank has a marriage Kaspar Egg with Salome Nufer in 1651.

[name removed] Thank you very much! This opens up a couple more new lines for me. And you have provided additional information on Hans Peters parents which helps me extend his line at least on more generation. That’s going above and beyond. Thanks.
