A couple of unusual terms from 1686 Alsace marriage record
I haven't seen these before:
- Honorifics for the two fathers: 'Ehrs und besch.' The first looks to be Ehrsam (Honorable?), but not sure what 'besch.' is the abbreviation for -- there are so many words that start with besch and none seem to fit.
- The second occupation/post for the first father (my direct ancestor) starts with what looks more like a Roman numero XIV than letters -- the W doesn't resemble the typical w's in Weyl. I scanned the other records made by this pastor, but they don't appear again like this. Looks like 'XIVeres / XWeres'. [The 'alhier' following it looks to be crossed out and corrected by 'zu Offendorf', so should be ignored.]

Translation:
:Oberhoffen the 11 Novembr. 1686
:Theobald a Young Journeyman, surviving legitimate Son of the late Honorable and ?? Joh: Heinrich Citizen and ?? here at Offendorff. And Maiden Margaretha surviving legitimate Daughter of the late Honorable ?? Michäel Jung, Citizen at Drusenh[eim].

besch. is probably bescheiden = modest, humble. I've seen this in other records as well.
I can't really help with the occupation or post.
