How does someone get living ordinances done?
I am a ward consultant; I have been working with an older sister who is a convert of one year. She has just been to the temple to be endowed, and would now like to be sealed to her deceased husband, and to her two children who died as infants. A kind brother in the ward has done the ordinances for her father. I know that I can't help her to print an ordinance card for a live sealing--doesn't she need to see the bishop about this? I asked him about this today and he didn't seem to know what to do (he is new). What does she need to do in order to get these live ordinances accomplished?

Edie, there is a great article in the FamilySearch Help Center about this. It's called "Procedures for sealing living individuals to their deceased spouse, parents, or children." If you click on Help and then type "live sealing" into the search bar, it will show up third in the list of suggested articles. Short answer: she does need to work with her bishop.
