Is this record a birth of Melchior Lehr? Request help transcribing.
The attached record (and link) is in Leimen, Baden - a birth record Feb 7 1712. (bottom right section of the two page spread)
What I believe I'm seeing:
Layman - ? Hermann Lehr ein Sohn geboren 7 Feb. ? Melchior ? genannt.
Thanks for your help clarifying what's written here.
Best regards,
Susanne

Hello @Susanne Skabelund,
After studying the structure of all the records on these two pages, here is what I came up with:
Transcription:
Laÿm . . . Mstr. Herrmann Lehr ein Sohn gebohren den 7 Febr. dess[en] Pathe Hl. Melchior Mobuß, nach[dem] es auch genandt [= genannt].
Translation:
Leimen: [to] Master Herrmann Lehr a son was born on the 7th of February, whose godfather was Mr. Melchior Mobuß after whom he [the child] was also named.

You're welcome, @Susanne Skabelund. I give you credit for finding this record since the handwriting is quite challenging. Most people would look at these pages and say they were undecipherable. Good research work indeed!
