Asking for Help - in deciphering names and a few other words in Bohemian record
I also posted this in the Autro-Hungarian Empire community group, but since the record is in German, I'm also posting it here.
Attached (with associated links) are two baptism records from the 1820s in Čáslav, Kutná Hora District, Central Bohemian Region, Czechia.
1) Čáslav 07, image 99, Folio 194, last entry – Anna Barbara
a) Is the ending of Barbara just smudge marks or should there be more after the last 'a'?
b) RE: the abbreviation related to the baptizer - what exactly is the abbreviation (looks like Bzris) ? and what is the complete (unabbreviated) word?
c) I have Benesch for the midwife's surname. Is this correct?
d) what is her father's surname? It looks like Kabak (or Rabak?), but I'm not familiar with Czech names and am not sure about the first letter.
e) What is Barbara's (mother) father's surname: it looks like Sk?eb?z (any suggestions?)
f) What are the names of the godparents? I came up with [?c?donza] Fiola and Jann Baruch.
g) What the the occupations of the godparents? 1) looks like Kauf[m]aninn, 2) looks like Maejstian (any suggestions?)
2) Čáslav 07, image 202, Folio 400, last entry
a) I'm guessing the middle name is an abbreviation for Baptist. Is the last letter an s?
b) Is the midwife's surname Wescetzky?
c) What is Anna's mother's maiden name? It looks like Flabaczek. Not sure about the first letter and some in the middle.
Thanks.
