To answer these questions it would be good to see the original document. It seems that the place names given are not from the original source but from an index.
The "Essen" locations are different places, see these links in Meyers Gazetteer:

If you are seeing this on an Index of the record (not on the image of the actual record itself) then the "event place original" is usually the location originally identified in the indexing effort for where the record was documented (for example, a parish church location). The "event place" is a revision that someone has added that hopefully corrects an error in the "event place original". It's always best to look at the actual record rather than the index to see where it was actually recorded as these event places in indexes sometimes are in error.
Mothers alias in an Index has typically been the mothers maiden name in the documents I have seen. But there is always a chance that it could be a previous surname from a previous marriage. The actual image of the record should be reviewed. It will typically reveal whether this alias her surname at birth.

Here's how I would look at it. In the actual image you will see in entry 133 (column 1) that the Hehmeyers are residents of Essenerberg (Eßenerberg, column 2). The three entries below them are residents of towns named Hüsede, Lockhausen and Wehrendorf:
Going back to the first page of the book you will see it is a churchbook from the church parish of Essen (Eßen):
Going back to the second image of the film you will see that this film is for Essen from the state archives of Osnabrueck (Osnabrück):
Now the original location indexed is Essen, Essen, Essen, Kr u. Wittlage, Hannover, Deutschland , looking at Meyers Gazetteer I would looks to see if this makes sense. Looking at the map of Wittlage:

I see that just west of the village of Wittlage is Bad Essen. Just south of Wittlage is Hüsede. Just north of Wittlage is Lockhsn. (Lockhausen). To the southwest of Bad Essen is Essenerberg. And to the Northwest of Bad Essen is Wehrendorf.
Per Meyers Gazeteer, this area is in the province of Hanover and Regierungsbezirk of Osnabrück. So it is pretty clear that this is the correct location. The other "revised" location near Asendorf is clearly incorrect.
Additional note: this record lists every mother with a surname different than the father. I assume they are not all births out of wedlock so Priors is most likely her maiden name.

Per this marriage her maiden name was indeed Priors.

Since she was giving birth on November 13th I'm guessing she didn't make it to her sisters wedding on the same day. But women are pretty tough, maybe she did.

Great analysis, @JohnsonGreg! I agree with your conclusions.
(Still wondering though why the church name in the index is given as Evangelische Kirche Engter which is 14 miles away. This seems to be in error also.)
