Hello @TammyHardy1
Translation:
Remarks:
[1] Peter Bischof initially lived in his wife's parental home in Mengen (last house in Brunneneck). According to the original cadastre of 1844, Peter Bischof's wife and Elisabeth Waldbaum, according to a document before the notary Weist dated 23 March 1831, exchanged the property with dwelling house no. 71, barn, and courtyard, with the children of Johann Buchheit with dwelling house, barn, and stable in Bolchen (no. 137 = Eschringer Straße 6 [a street address]). According to a private document dated 29 April 1833, Peter Bischof sold the property for 490 florins to the schoolteacher Balthasar Grundhöfer. Peter Bischof immigrated to America on the night of 10-11 July 1833, with his wife and three children and the unmarried sister of his wife Elisabeth Waldbaum. Arrived in New York on 26 August 1833. The family settled in Sherman [Township], Huron [County], Ohio. Three more children, Maria, Peter, and Katharina, were born there.
