Translation of record
Attached is a record for Dorothea Louisa Lenz. I am desiring to have the highlighted line translated. I was hoping this is a death date. She was married to Friedrich Wilhelm Schroeder. Thank you so much for sharing your time and talents to help with this item.

The record I need help with to translate is from 1776 in Wiera,Germany. It is a Confirmation record for Anna Elixabeth whose father was Johannes Jox/Jax. It is all I am able to understand. I found it on www.archion.de, Kassel Archiv, Ziegenhain, Wiera, Kirchenbuch, 1773-1806, Bild 2194. I would be most grateful for any help in understanding the contents of this record. It is record #3... thank you, Susan

Hi Susan,
it is advisable to start a new thread for a every new question: for that click on the blue button in the upper right. Also, it helps the translator if you include not just a snippet of the entry but of the whole page for context and comparison.
That said, I read the record as follows:
3) Anna Elisabeth Johannes Jo_sen Sen[ior] Einwohner das[elbst]: ehel[iche] Tochter alt 14 Jahr
Translation:
3) Anna Elisabeth, legitimate daughter of the local inhabitant Johannes Jo_ sr., 14 years
I can't make out the last letter of Johannes' surname; the -sen ending would be a genitive sign.

Hello Susan and Ulrich,
I read Johannes' surname as: Jok or possibly Jock.
