Heads-Up. Exciting. Its here. We CAN now, be members, of MULTIPLE, "Family Groups" (maybe, x10)
All
FYI
"Heads-Up" ...
EXCITING stuff ...
It is here ...
And, available ...
[ No less, in the "Production" (ie. "Live") Environment ... ]
It appears NOW, that we CAN be members, of MORE than just ONE, "Family Group".
ie. We CAN now, be members, of MULTIPLE, "Family Groups".
[ Well, I would suggest, up to a MAXIMUM of, maybe, at least, Ten (x10) ... ]
[ If, the "Beta" (ie. "Test") Environment, is any example ... ]
I just had a 'look', there is NO LONGER, a bar from "Creating" a SECOND or More "Family Groups".
And, I was "Sent", an "Invite", to a "Family Group"; and, able to "Join" a SECOND "Family Group", despite ALREADY being the member, of ANOTHER, "Family Group".
Then, I initiated, the process, to "Create" ANOTHER, "Family Group".
Hooray ...
Whoopee ...
Enjoy ...

This is wonderful news. Not having this feature was an obvious disappointment in the initial release. I'm sure this will make the feature much more usable for people and groups in all sorts of situations (who may have cousins on different sides or want a ward group, for example).

'Yes' ...
As, I have mentioned, in previous post(s) ...
There are Many DIFFERENT forms of ("Family") "Groups":
[ BUT, certainly NOT "Limited" to ... ]
(1) 'Literal' ("Family") "Groups" [ ie. ADDITIONAL, for BOTH sides of one's "Ancestral" Lines ]; and/or,
(2) 'Ward'/'Branch' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(3) 'Stake/District/Mission' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(4) 'Helping' ("Family") "Groups" [ ie. those that a User/Patron is "Helping" ]; and/or,
(5) ('Consultant) 'Planner' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(6) 'Young Mens' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(7) 'Young Womens' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(8) 'Elders Quorum' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(9) 'Relief Society' ("Family") "Groups"; and/or,
(10) the list of ("Family") "Groups" just goes on ...
Especially, for "Sharing", the "Temple" Work, between Members of the Church.
[ This will definitely makes things much easier, for hastening, that GREAT Work ... ]
Brett
ps: 'FamilySearch' just wanted to make certain ('Test the Waters'), that everything just worked with ONE 'Group'
..... BEFORE, unleashing MULTIPLE 'Groups' - just imagine, the consequences, with MULTIPLE 'Groups', not working
.
